So today, as we head into the holiday season, I want to shoot this video to bust one of the biggest mysteries in real estate about selling your home in the winter. So stay tuned to find out what that is.

So there's a myth out there that you should wait until the spring to sell your home that nobody's looking to buy in December, January. But nothing could be further from the truth. Buyers are out here 24/7, 365 And there are a lot of different reasons why selling your home in the winter is the right decision. The truth is over the last couple of months and especially the last few weeks, the prices have started to skyrocket again, as less and less homes are hitting the market. Buyers are finding themselves competing once again like they were in the spring. The sale prices are way over what they were in the summer almost hitting the peak that they were in the spring.

So here are the 5 reasons why you should sell your home in the winter.

1. You're going to face less competition. Like I said less and less homes have been hitting the market every single week for the last couple of months, making the supply very low. If a buyer is looking in a certain area, you could be the only home on the market. And that can get you a very good price.

2. You're going to get more attention from the buyer's agents. While we're seeing less and less homes being listed every week. We're also seeing less and less sales. This is typical for every year. But that means that the buyer's agents are now fighting against each other to get their buyers the homes that they need.

3. Buyers are more serious. There are no more tire kickers in the winter months. If someone is looking for a home right now. It's because they have a reason that they need to buy, the more motivated a buyer is the higher the sale price you're going to get for your home.

4. Your home already looks at its best. I'm already starting to see the Christmas lights up. And when I walk buyers through the home and they really fall in love with it. I often hear them say how they can picture the kids opening the Christmas gifts on Christmas Day. Why not walk through the home while the Christmas tree is up and give them that feeling right away?

5. You'll actually get the most eyes on your property this time of year. Well, we talked about how listings are going down every week, and inventories that are the lowest searches on Google for buying a home actually skyrocket this time of year.

Alright, so today we get the video short and sweet. But I know some of you might be still skeptical because you believe spring is the best time to sell. And no I'm not shooting this video to convince you to sell now. But the truth is this week I saw homes sell for higher than they have in the last six months. So if you're looking to sell in the near future, you might want to think twice about waiting and take a look at the market now.
